FA-2'a Cancelled?

Oct 22 has not arrived yet for pre order cut off.

 

What I don't understand is why mfg's are rehashing the same old paint schemes. Why can't we at least get the demo paint scheme version of this model?

 

I got mine (NYC) from Legacy Station yesterday.  Also, unlike earlier production, the units are closely coupled--a nice surprise.

I have Pennsy Fa-2 -AA set and FB-2 on order. I have not received mine. Last I checked they were supposed to ship from Lionel in August.

Can someone post pictures of the Alco FA2 if they have them thanks

For those that purchased this latest version of the Fa2, can you verify if Lionel corrected the stirrup steps by the fuel tank and the rear ends. The older tmcc version has these steps incorrectly sticking out like wings. The correct way the steps should be is curving in toward the bottom center of the locomotive.

Unfortunately, the steps are still curved outward.  A little reworking in the vice corrected that issue.

NYC is out and was at York. Nicholas Smith had AA set for 595.00.

Are these still in the cigar band scheme as pictured in the catalog, or did they accidentally do the lighting bolt again?
