The first streamliner, the UP's City of (?) was made of aluminum and was scrapped during WW I for the valuable metal.

I think you'll find that it was built in the 1930s, and was thus scrapped for it's aluminum during WWII, NOT WWI.

I am on a fence about the soundtrack but..I have to reveal a personal quirk of mine, which is the irritated and agitated reaction I get when I hear the upteenth version of background music composed entirely of endless folksy banjos. Call this goofy. I turn to my wife, "Whats with the banjos?" "It's cute" "Cute..yeh,,but on every other railroad video?" arghh.
