How do you electrically isolate Fast Track? Does Lionel make an insolater pin? Do the pins in Fast Track come out?

They do. Carefully lift the tabs on the bottom of the center rail from underneath. Gently lift the rail and remove the center spade. It's shaped like an L. Press the rail back into place making sure it is seated properly and bend the tabs back down. Takes all of 3 minutes. CC or remote switches are easier. Simply remove the jumper wire from underneath.
I just take the center pin out as described above, and grind the end of the rail down a little bit with a Dremel. Thus leaving a gap. I don't even bother with an insulated pin.
I also used the 1 3/8" fitter at the start of all my sidings and as separators on most of my 22 blocks. They are fairly easy to work in the track plan. They are essentially a short block section of track because of the removable jumper.
You can, as I did once the track is all in place and not easy to remove, take a cut off wheel on a Dremel and slice vertically down thru the rail you want isolated.
Outside rails are a different ballgame, especially when track is down, because they are connected with each other.
