Fastrack Supplied Power Wire

Putting a power drop on each side of the loop will also probably help a bunch.

Gunrunner John, unfortunately I can't really access the other side of the loop due to the supports for my second level and my tunnel.  I can just about access it if there is a derailment.

 

It seems to be running ok on the heavier gauge wire so far, I just don't understand why Lionel supplies the absolute minimum when it comes hook up wire.

I marveled at the tiny Fastrack connection wires when I first saw them as well.   I also don't use them!

 

I've powered much bigger loops with just one lionel supplied fastrack connector with about a 4.5 amp load. To my surprise it gave me zero problems.

If you cannot access across, put a drop at end of the oval. Each track has terminals, except for the 5" straight.
