Can you control the uncoupling track with the SC2 & can you use 18v to power the uncoupling track? The online manual says 10-12 volts. That seems awful low considering track power is 18v.

You can use the SC2 but make sure you use the momentary button or you might fry the coil.
As for the voltage I usually use a separate power source from track power to operate uncoupling and operating tracks. That way you can dial it up to what you need.
Try it with 10/12 and see how it works.
