What are your father's day wishes?  Anyone hoping for any new trains?  I would welcome a gift of the lumber for my layout.  I did a bit of a father's day turn-around.  I bought each of my sons a Little Giant 22 ladder in a reverse-gift.  Father to sons for father's day.  I sometimes do this on my birthday too.  It's a way of celebrating that makes everyone smile, especially me.

I took that trip a couple years ago when after I attended the York meet. I would recommend anyone that attends the York meet to take the short side trip to New Freedom

I was raised a simple man. I raised each of my children accordingly. All I seek is the peace and love once again.

May Our God Bless Each And Every Father.

They pay for the motel, and I go broke paying for the rest.

Joe, this is GREAT!  What else would you do with your expendable cash?  This is a wonderful way to celebrate (Grand)Father's day!  Have fun, and enjoy those youngsters!

My wife told me Monday that she was going to reimburse me, as a Fathers Day gift, for a structure that I had already ordered from River Leaf Models[Andre Garcia].

She saw a photo of the Coal Dump Bin and Weighing Office that Andre recently designed, one that reminded her of a pre-WWII structure in her hometown. The owner sold coal by the bag, by 1/2 ton and ton. [the guy also owned a nearby Blacksmith Shop].

His coal was delivered to the elevated dump/bins by an A &Y Ry 2-8-0, usually in a N&W or Southern 2 bay hopper.

They're both turning 80 next week, so I know I won't have very many of these days left.

there'll be a time when I'll give the same response to the question as you gave. It's clear to me at this point.

A good pal of mine (who lives in the same town my folks do) lost his Dad quickly after he bumped his head on a dresser, he was in his 80s at the time. That was a few years ago and I heard his voice crack just a bit when he mentioned his Father the last time I saw him in person.

That'll be most of us someday, if not already. Don't ever forget that.

My love angel of 47 plus years has us tickets for the 21st Century Steam- Bristol to Radford train ride.

Southern Railway engine # 4501 built in  1911 and recently restored to service by TVRM in Chattanooga.

And my new silver Go Pro (still in the box) I will ...Lord willing post my first video of the ride if I figure how how to work the darn thing.

Happy Fathers Day All!
