I usually make mental allowances for contemporary design, but it looks like form and function had a slight disagreement...

Cab looks like the tow truck from CARS.

Looks like a Trackmobile  on steroids!  

There is ballast in the locomotive, which more or less equalizes the weight on drivers between the No.1 and No.2 trucks.  Also, appearances can be deceiving.  Although there is a lot of sheet metal at the rear, and also the radiators, there is space beneath the radiators where other equipment, not necessarily heavy, can be placed.

Much prefer the EMD Class 59, both for it's burly look and it's EMD pedigree. The EMD 16-645E3C powered beast is the export version of my beloved SD40-2.  That two-stroke throb with the turbo whine on top is familiar music to my ears.
