Very nice. Looking forward to more photos.
Any chance of posting the track plan.
Very nicely done. Complimenting the great looking topside scene I like the "finished" look of the railroad room. What material did you use for skirting.

IND, very nice modeling the scene looks real. Very mountains and trees.....gives one the feel of 0 scale....
Thanks for sharing!

Outstanding work. Is this expansion physically connected to your original switching layout?
Don,
The trees look great as does everything else. My favorite though is the muddy water! Malcolm
Fantastic.
Definitely a "WOW" factor. Nice!
Larry
I' say there are some trees
An EXCEPTIONAL 2 rail layout Don! Green adds so much to it.
Bob
Definitely first class work, both on the trees and all else.
A drop dead gorgeous layout, and the room as well. You really have hit a homer on that.
WOW!!! Beautiful work and so realistic! I look forward to more photos and those videos!!
Alan
Very, very nice! I love that muddy water.
Ed, about the skirting.
At the club this year we upgraded our skirting with fabric. I went to a warehouse fabric outlet in my area and found a selection of 'suiting' material, which as it sounds is used to make suits. I found a 72" wide bolt of material in a color we were looking for (close to Brunswick Green) of a nice weight poly blend. It turned out to be about 24 yards of material, which we sliced down the middle for 48 yards of 36" material. I wish I had a photo to show off, it looks gorgeous!
Great job. When I look at photos like these I tell myself it's time to work on my layout again but I know that I don't have talent enough to duplicate what I see on this forum. You did a super job!
That layout looks like a great candidate for a magazine feature, Don! Just fire-off an e-mail to me if you're interested.
Industrial Models, Your C&O/B&O COAL DRAG LOOKS VERY NICE GOING AROUND YOUR WONDERFUL LOOKING MOUNTSIN WITH ALL THE TREES. Your curved bridge is also quite nice and the underwater telepone poles really adds a nice touch to thr layout. Thanks for sharing with us.
The water is what blows me away. Especially the shore effects.
Awesome , Looks so real I cant wait to see more .
Wow nice work!
Hey guys
Glad you enjoyed the pics and it is a joy to share this great hobby of ours. I will do a part 2 with some construction shots shortly.
-Lou I don't have the track plan digitized.....I am a low tech guy in a high tech hobby. Need to get going on learning some new software.....
- Ed the skirting is just a roll of cotton fabric I bought at a fabric store and the wife of a good friend sewed some pleats in and put a cuff on the bottom. I think the fabric was $75 for 67 feet.......something like that.
-Bill you can def do this. With the amazing stuff available now it is easier than ever. Hopefully the how-to post will get you going......
Matt- yes this is the other end of the loop (and basement ...I will try and draw out a basic track plan and scan it......
Great job the river looks so reaL. The layout looks fantastic.
Excellent job Don, and a textbook demonstration why you have to plant individual trees (and for that matter weeds and shrubs) to look realisitic. I am looking forward to your follow-on posts.
I am taken by the Girder Bridge. Great detail completely finished. Wonderful.
