first cab-1 then cab-2 now LCS when will Talk start?

I personally don't want to talk to my trains to run them.  Even the apps are not my first choice.  I prefer the physical controller whether the Cab2 or transformer.  But I do like the techie stuff so the app is fun to play with.

I already talk to my trains now, when they get into their sometimes very un-cooperative moods (not repeatable here). Some say this is due to operator error, but I certainly know better. 

Actually I like the tech and electronic stuff a lot, but I also prefer the current DCS remote and Legacy Cab-2 for running trains.

"Siri, take train #3439 to track two and wait for instructions from dispatch, train #1529 takes the siding at Petticoat Junction until further instruction from Uncle Joe". Hmmm...maybe that doesn't sound so bad after all? I bet that would really do a lot to promote the hobby for the young tech savvy folks. May turn out to be a pretty good idea here? Guess I'll have to trade in my flip phone for an iphone.

The DCS remote has the mic and the engine could repeat back the command.  So do you call it a MU or a Lash up and what would the train do!  G

     I agree, talking to my trains is a nice option, however I want complete remote control from my Cab2, of all my trains and switches, and new remote control rolling stock, like the legacy Crane car.

MartyE said it all.  I feel the same way.  I have the Lionel app.  I never use it as I feel the Cab2 is without a doubt the best way to operate.  The app works and works perfect.  It does nothing for me.  People with very large layouts will agree with Marty also.  

My idea would be software to show position and control turnouts and also train locations on a large touch screen. As far as talking I think a computer yardmaster that you talked to like in the real world might be nice. It could control train operation by giving you orders for train operation.
