Flashing headlight on TMCC engines using CAB-1L?

Just installed a new CAB-1L on a layout and everything runs fine except that all the TMCC locomotives headlights flash continually during operation. We switched to the older CAB-1 and the headlights work fine. Any thoughts?

Well, flashing headlights are indicative of weak signals, maybe you have a defective base. I'm assuming you have it connected properly. If you are using a power strip, plug it directly into a wall outlet.
