Here’s a new floor layout in honor of the New Year. I wanted something for the grandkids involving the bridge and trains running under it for some fun.  Starting with a figure 8 for the Santa Fe mainline, I then managed two separate double dog bone reversals on either side of the main figure 8 and was able to have all 3 trains going under the bridge area.

It’s got lots of movement and let’s hope the grandkids enjoy it.

Mike, The grandchildren will love it!  I know I do!  The interlocking rubber mats on the floor look soothing as sitting and crawling on the floor are not my friend.  I did to much of it as a technician for power and telecom companies in my 43 years working.  I'm recuperating from a knee replacement and the other leg has different issues.  A hardwood floor would have looked foul to me.

The Rubber floor mats are a great idea,

They must help with sound also, and no lint problems from the carpet type mats.

Now we just need mats in earth type colors not black or grey.

Getting down is easy, it's getting up again is the problem.

I use a plastic milk crate as a helper/stool when I have to do down on floor work.
