This is mine and its permanent. running fast track currently with plans to switch to gargraves and ross switches. 072 and 084 curves on main line. Yard 072 and 060 switches. Wiring for the most part under the track. Yard runs under the couch. Room is duel use so main line borders the room and runs behind the couch.

I presently run a small 2 loop carpet layout using Realtrax. One loop is conventional and the other runs off of a remote commander. Planning to eventually go to DCS, get some turnouts, and remove those nasty curves sections. But first up, get some bigger curves to make it look a little better, likely O42 and O54.

 

Question to those who run Tubular track on carpet, have you had any experience with the rubber roadbeds used by K-Line and Johnson Roadbeds?  Both of course, are no longer in business . I found out of both of them while perusing the internet, but see that the roadbeds are available on eBay.

My floor layout is on tile, but I'm interested on the carpet centrals for when I will now take my "portable" layout to the in-laws when going to visit .
