Traffic is already up significantly in the last month or so. I hear sometimes 4 to 5 trains a day when I'm home from work--- FEC likes to use early morning and evening as the car & truck traffic is lighter. The boaters are already complaining-- read about one of the public comment meetings being held by AAF-- They were complaining about the current level of RR traffic and it's impact on the Loxahatchee river drawbridge openings--- seems the 90 year old structure takes over 10 minutes to fully open or close. The currents in the river are tricky to navigate, and the bridge structure makes it sometimes impossible to pass the bridge due to the effects on the currents.
Think that AAF/ FEC Railway need to think about replacing the drawbridge---
addendum: just googled the drawbridge -- the opening for boats is only about 25 ft. wide-- but the drawbridge is double track width, and the old subroadbed is still FEC property. So putting in the second track won't be too difficult--
