So on Facebook today I saw pictures of new double track being put in what looks like West Palm Beach. I did not know the Florida East Coast Railway started doing improvements for All Aboard Florida yet. So how much new double track are they building for the project? Also are they going to rebuild the connection with CSX in West Palm Beach too?

The FEC is installing double track from Miami to West Palm Beach as part of the first half of the AAF buildout. They are doing the minor road crossings first, then will do the major ones later. There hasn't been any work done in Boca Raton yet--- they have done some in West palm, Delray beach and 4 or 5 crossings in Broward County. It's gonna be a real mess once the start doing the major crossings---

So how many miles of double track are in West Palm Beach now? Also have the redone the connection track between the FEC and CSX/Tri-Rail.

I wonder how CSX and FEC will coordinate Freight train movements south of West Palm Beach after this is done.
FECguy, as far as I know, the only place were there are double track in the west palm area is the crossings that have been upgraded so far, and maybe where the WPB station is being built, as well as whatever existing double track there is. I do not know if the FEC-CSX connector is being rehabbed.
