Flyer 1218 pickup rollers

I would simply try bending it so that it makes contact with the track.

1218 engines were produced from c. 1920 to c. 1926.  Are the cars the orange Milwaukee Road cars with Seattle names?  or green 1120 cars with Seattle names?  If they are the green ones, that would not be a set.  The orange Milwaukee Road cars were produced c. 1923-1926

Sorry my bad, they are not Seattle cars.  It's a 1205, 1206 (with pickup and light), 1306.

Loco is black, cars are red with black roof.  I'm wondering if this is a real set or not.  Also maybe the light was added to the observation?  For sure the pickup roller is new but the copper contact could be orig, riveted to frame.

That sounds like it would be a set, but possibly the light was added, or a car with light was added to the original set.  Usually the sets with lights had all coaches/observation cars lighted, with the baggage being unlighted.  

OK I was able to bend one roller enough to get it running smoothly.  But the other one still springs back toward the frame.  I don't see how to get a good bend on it with the clip hooked on the other side of the board and also getting around the wheels.  Any suggestions?
