Flyer 290 Wiring Diagram

Hello everyone. A few months ago I was given a bunch of American Flyer stuff. The motive power for all this stuff is a pair of 290's. Well, I got both running, but being a Lionel operator, I forgot that Flyer does not have automatic switches, and derailed one. Well, now it does not run. Since the wiring is in sorry shape, I think that a wire probably broke. So does anyone have a wiring diagram for this engine, and maybe an exploded diagram for them, or anything else that might help me? It looks almost like it has a wiring harness between the engine and tender?

Michael,

try www.portlines.com for this also. The 290 has a 3 step reverse unit so unless you're a purist and want the wiring exactly as originally made, any of the configurations for a 3 step reverse unit will work.
