Thanks guys! The seats for the club car I made out of a piece of triangular stock balsa and quarter inch square balsa glued together. Hen I carved the 8-inch piece to a couch-like shape and then sliced of the length of seats I wanted. A little paint and viola. The dining car booths were from Shapeways....3D printed. I couldn't figure out how to make them myself. The passengers are Railking. They're maybe a little large for S, but look okay. They come unpainted which I didn't particularly find to be onerous. I would just do a few at a time. I also replaced the silhouette inserts with clear plastic.
The seats and booths really look good. I, too, have found Rail King figures to be pretty useful for S gauge, especially with American Flyer trains and accessories.
Here's how I paint them. I found some fancy hor doerves toothpicks in the cupboard and hot glued the figures on to them. Makes it easy to handle the, while painting and they just pop right off when done. Don't tell my wife.
