Very cool! Looks like a lot of fun.
Try doing a search on youtube for "Train Mountain" out in Oregon. They just had their once every three year "event" a week or so ago.
Great video and action thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for the video! Extra good! Great dramatic music!
For the price of a "few" Legacy locomotives, you too can own and operate a ride-on live steam locomotive.
Actually, for under $500, an '0' or 'G' gauge live steam loco can be had to run in a garden railroad setting. Fired mostly by butane, with some alcohol fired and a few coal fired, they give you the thrill of actually operating a steam engine, with all the steam, oil, smoke and sounds of the real thing. I am currently constructing my second scratch built 'G' scale loco, with a ride on scale loco waiting for my time. A great complement to my Lionels. And yes, they have 'G' scale 'live diesels' also, operated by model glow engines, running a generator, powering electric traction motors.

That place is on my bucket list. miles after miles of open running. You never see the same track twice.
Thanks for posting that wonderful video, everybody on this forum should watch it.
Boy it really lifted my spirits. I'm going for another ride.
Thanks again, Alex
The live steam stuff is big fun, both literally and figuratively!
My NRHS chapter has held its annual picnic on several occasions at the Pennsylvania Live Steamers in Collegeville. It is a truly excellent time.
I've posted a link to the group's website below. Check out some of the pictures. They are simply incredible.
