Frank's Roundhouse boxcars ( and some Kris boxcars, I think) came in plain white boxes ( with the number of the car/ brief description) stamped on the ends. Does anybody know where those type boxes may purchased? Thanks in advance, turtle7

I'd like to know too !
Ask Jack Rash at York. He's Frank's son and worked with Frank assembling and boxing the cars. He sets up in the Orange Hall and is one of the Orange Hall captains.

Bill (&Mike) Thanks for the reply. My chance of visiting York in the near future is slim-does anybody know how I may find/contact Jack Rash?? Thanks again, turtle7
Hobby Surplus Sales has some generic white boxes. Last I knew, they were not shown on the site. You have to ask. I think they run about $1.00 each. They do not have inserts to go around the couplers. They came in two sizes. I think the small was intended for Flyer "S" gauge and the large was for Lionel "O" gauge.
Things like 6464 boxcars and 027 diesels fit nicely. I used them for years, but I recently switched to trading card boxes.
CW, do the trading card boxes have a thicker cardboard to their construction? If so that would work for me nicely.

CW I called the nice folks at Hobby Surplus -they no longer carry them-so I am back looking again. Thanks-turtle7
