imageimageimageimageI visited Fred's Train Shop in Overland Park, Kansas, over the Christmas holidays. Business in the store was brisk and Fred always carries a great selection of O and S Gauge trains.  Displayed on his shelves were three Union Pacific Challengers (two MTH Premier and one Legacy Lionmaster - no. 3985 with smoke deflectors).  He also had a scale Big Boy, Cab Forward and H-7.  Fred carries a good assortment of American Flyer and had an American Flyer Union Pacific Challenger (3985) for sale in a display case.  He also had two Rail King triplexes (5015 and 5016).  Fred's Train Shop is my favorite train store in the Kansas City area and I frequently take locomotives to him for repair - his maintenance and repair person, Lale (Sgt.) Schultz has repaired my Lionel, MTH and Williams locomotives.

If you are in the Kansas City area, Fred's Train Shop is well worth a visit and is located conveniently one and a half blocks off Metcalf Ave. (I-635 south becomes Metcalf) on 80th street.

Oh please!

This coddling of forum sponsors is really insane...God forbid someone mentions a non-sponsor!

Fred's looks like a great store. Hope to visit one day.
