Earlier today, I was notified that Fred Sipple a Lionel Train dealer from Erie, PA. had passed away. Fred was a good man and he ran a very neat Train Shop in Westleyville just outside of Erie on route 20. I met him back in the 70's when he opened his store. At the time, my mother in law lived in Erie. Every time my wife and I would go to visit her I would stop in to see Fred.

I remember when Fred did train shows in western New York. Great guy. I was lucky enough to visit his train store a few times. My prayers go out to his family......Paul 2
I also remember Fred and Mrs. Sipple from WNY train shows, an visiting his shop. I still have and run several K-line boxcars I bought from him. Indeed, a nice man. RIP, Fred. JohnA
Bought a lot from Fred at WNY shows. Found many reasons to go to Erie to stop in and see him. RIP Fred!
Was familiar with the shop but never met the late gentleman and always wondered if the Green Acres television sitcom caused him grief.
