Considering the price some people want for trains, I think that was a decent price.

The person who won only has a positive feedback of 1. Would be leery they might back out of the deal.
Oh wow. That is a very good price. I hope whoever buys it leaves the paint and finish completely alone and resists the temptation to put a big crate engine, etc. in it.
I agree that is a great price for a running truck. Probably lots of rust repair to do underneath though. Notice no pictures of the underside. Hopefully they will keep it 'original' but will have to freshen it up some. At least the 'average' guy could afford it! Hope whoever won it enjoys it. Can you imagine taking that York one day?
Wouldn't it be nice if it got transported to York for October.
Clear coat the truck and put about 10 grand in the power train and electrical and that would be one very cool cruiser.
I would hope who ever bought it would restore it as is paint. It's a one of a kind type vehicle in its livery.
I wish ebay would let you see who the buyer is after the sale is complete.
I would love to contact them and see what there intentions are for this truck.

I would agree! Would make a great rat rod.

Trnluvr, you should be able to email the seller and ask if he'd ask the buyer to contact you.

Just the best rat rod ever. It would be a shame to do anything to that wonderful finish other than preserve it as it. I am really wishing I had jumped in, although I don't know where I would put it if I owned. I already have to keep two cars at my sons' warehouses and my wife is disgusted that one of them is a ratty old '52 Fiat that doesn't run. Anyway, I really hope whoever has it treats it right.
The original thread on this van talked about Rat Rods.
There are some interesting comments.
