The El Conquistador resort in Fajardo Puerto Rico features this conveyance to transport guests to the seaside level. It is the only means to go between levels.

I’ve only ridden on one funicular and that is in Quebec City. Unfortunately, I can’t find any of the pictures I took over my several visits, but the link below will give you the flavor. I first rode it on a family vacation around 1970 but I couldn’t find a pic of how it looked then - it was a green corrugated tube and the cars rattled around on the inside with little to no view. The newer version gives an amazing view of the old city and the St. Lawrence River!!!
Great photos Rob, Steve, and Mikey. Like Paul, I too, have ridden on only one funicular, also on Italy’s island of Capri.
I didn’t think to take as many photos as Steve did. But I did get some shots of the water down below.

Very neat, great scenery. There is also a funicular in Chatanooga that ascends Lookout Hill (I think it's called) It was used back in the civil war I believe. it's well worth checking out.
In 1984 my family and I rode the funicular in a hotel in Lucerne, Switzerland. The images are on slides so I can only give you a link to it. There also was one in Zagreb, Croatia and it is billed as the shortest funicular in the world. Again, this was in the 80s and 90s, so I only have slides. I really got to get them converted to digital.
There is also the Incline Railway at the Royal Gorge in Colorado. Last time I was there (40 years ago) it was standing only. Don't know if it has seen any upgrades.
My favorite funicular...
Great post! Happy to share our funicular travels!
Montmartre Funicular to Basilica of the Sacred Hearts - Paris, France
Zugspitze Railway (electric cog system that has a middle meet like most funiculars) rode down the mountain from Zugspitze to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany.
Lugano, Switzerland - took the Lugano Citta-Stazione funicular from train station down through our hotel to the center of town. We stayed in that hotel. BE SURE TO BOOK A ROOM AWAY FROM THE FUNICULAR TUNNEL! That’s what we did!
Halstat, Austria - Great salt mine experience that is accessible by taking the funicular up the mountain to the mine entrance. Great view from the top!
Another great ride on the rails leaving the mine!
The Floibanen funicular in Bergen, Norway - Ride the funicular to the top of Mount Floyen for a spectacular view of Bergen!
Salsburg funicular to the Hohensalzburg Castle. Best way to get there!
Today has been an uplifting experience for me! Thank to all for the shares!
Cheers, Dave

I rode Floibann above Bergen, one to reach Pittsburg's heights, one other, and rackrails to approach the Matterhorn and to get from the Norwegian fjord ferry to the Bergen to Oslo main line.
I have been wondering why nobody has mentioned the Royal Gorge funicular, only to recently discover it has been abandoned.
I rode it in 1990, yet with no camera.
Boy....not what l wrote! Somehow scrambled. Rode Flohbann to Oslo/Bergen main, up from fjord, one of the Pittsburgh's up from the river, l guess the word Flohbann was somehow moved. In our family hurry to "see the world in a hurry", we looked at but did not ride or cross Royal Gorge attractions back in 1950's. Did see station in gorge once later.

When I seen this topic titled "funicular", I was hoping that someone was going to say that the funicular at horseshoe curve was now open. Will it ever open?
I have ridden the Mt. Washington Incline in Pittsburgh, the one in Hong Kong, and one other that I no longer remember.
