While much of the content of this web comic may not be appropriate for this forum, I still laugh every time I see this one.
"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.
Post your non-O scale stuff here!

I love xkcd. I wonder how the math changes if apply O scale proportions to the problem?
And as I finally give up and hit post, I found the other comic that I was thinking of.
I remember that series from the late 80's/early 90's. He built a train layout in the laundry room!
Back when comics were in the newspaper, I received a page over the high school intercom to report to my chorus teacher right before dismissal. He cut out one of those comics and pasted it onto card stock to make it more appealing and gave it to me so I would have it before school let out!
I never saw that one, Jonathan. So the friend is taking the idea to its logical conclusion. It did make me think.

Funny thing is, the Wheeling Suspension Bridge was originally supposed to carry train traffic over the river! It’s currently under extensive repair because GPS told a tour bus to run across with something like 10x the current weight limit. Most modern SUVs and pickups are too heavy. When the circus came to town, the elephants walked over one by one. I can’t imagine how they planned to get even small, early engines across.
