Hey wondering with all the new stuff coming out all over why is no one doing building interiors or furniture.

Some time back there was cheap brown color blister packs old style chairs and desks picked up a bunch of those but there has really been nothing since??

You can get lots of buildings they have made every type railway engine, rolling stock signals buildings etc. but no real interiors!

Any leads or worth pushing for this with the major model rail companies??

How do you do your building interiors?

The keyword here is "cheap". Like 1:43 cars, most train people want "cheap". Most dollhouse folks are willing to spend the bucks or make their own (and most dollhouse folks want 1/2 scale).

The Plaststruct catalog has a decent selection of furniture, but they are a bit on the small size. Other outfits listed in the Scenic section have beds, sofas, etc. I've found the kitchen stuff the hardest to find. Dollhouse 1/4 scale usually costs $$$.

Those are still around, I see them on the bay all the time.  You can also find there other manufacturers of furniture - some plastic, some metal.

Speaking of interior details, I really would like to see an assortment of machinery for 1/4" scale factories.  I've been working on a factory building using Ameritown building parts, but since the location of the factory is going to be in a most prominent location, I want to have a nice interior with lathes, drill presses, stamping machines, etc. but I just can't seem to locate any.

Does anyone here know of any companies that do produce, like plastic models of some of these machines?  It would really be a blast to replicate an old time factory with overhead power shafts and belts driving the machinery, but that is left for a future project.  The one I need machinery for is a 1940's era building with production equipment of that time.

Phone: Roy Baker, 845-887-4596

Tell Roy that Frank of Layout Refinements recommended you contact him. His shop machines, imported and hand-painted by Roy, which I consider perfect models, are made of solid metal (lead?) and have a good weight and heft to them, as well as endurance. Lathes. Drill presses. Table-saws, etc.Such as these being delivered here...
