I made a lighthouse for our club garden railroad. I still need to add windows and repaint.
Top piece is a ready made solar unit.

Very nice. Could you "park" something O scale next to it so to get an idea of its real size? I once thought about getting one of the Lionel(?) lighthouses but thought that it was not tall enough. I now realize that lighthouses are not always very tall. For example the Thomas Point Light in the Chesapeake Bay, one that I have seen from the bay side:

Now that is one that I would definitely get!
An O engine would be dwarfed. This is for our G layout. The doors and widows are G scale.
Lionels are shorter. Model Power made a large one that was used for O.
I will try to take a picture tomorrow.
Lighthouse is 32 inches high.
Mth trolley and a Beep for size reference.
