Spent about 10 hours yesterday taking train photos at Gallitzin and Cresson. The trains never stopped running from 7 AM until 5 PM when we left. Plus we were interrupted twice by rain showers. We had planned to go further south on the line but no time to do it. Also checked out Cresson Steel and the UP cabs plus the GEs and the 3 old F units. With all the action we saw ONE NS Heritage unit -the New York Central one leading, Exhausting but awesome day. Probably my last visit but a great one.

Yet you didn't post any photos!?!
I took about 400 so still sorting through them but will in a day or so. Not much color in the locos-saw one CN trailing, lots of box trains, some coal and mixed freights. Not many tank cars-no oil trains. We caught the west bound AMTRAK passing in front of the "famous" Cresson Inn.
Jim, my wife and I was down at Torrence which is mile marker 300. Only two lines here but plenty of trains.
Seen the New York Central Heritage Unit that you mentioned.
Estimated 6 west bound trains in 50 minutes.
Was surprised to see a west bound loaded coal train. Most loaded coal trains are heading east.
If you want to watch trains Cresson is defiantly the place to be !!!!!!!!!
