Hey all, over the weekend I finally got a chance to go back to WV Hobbies and Crafts, and I was able to pick up a box of old, well used switches. I ended up getting a whole bunch of 1122 switches, a prewar O switch, a pair of original 711 switches, and a whole bunch of home built switches. However, inside, and the main reason I purchased the box, was four Gargraves switches. While I've had Gargraves track for years, I've never used it because I lacked switches for it. I know they have a somewhat bad reputation, but for now it's what I'll have to work with, so, my question is, what are good switch motors, or hand throws, to use with them? They did not have any with them, and I want to be able to use them when I build my layout. Thanks.

My previous layout used GG switches with marked success:  the trains ran smoothly through them; I could attribute no derailment or other problem to the switches, even the ones on the grades.  Layout control was conventional.  My intent was to use Caboose Hobbies switch throws, but I never got to that point before I had to dismantle the layout.  I have used CH throws with good success on my current Atlas switches.
