I finally got around to finding just the right spot for this old Quality Craft kit that I scored last summer. This thing was a staple on many PRR layouts in the 80s and 90s with Herb Lindsey's coming to mind almost immediately. I hope my effort came out as well as his. I used some inspiration garnered from Neal Schorr to cobble together the double telegraph/signal pole although I did not attempt to replicate his fine cabling details. Maybe some other time. At this point I plan on moving on down the track from this scene until I close the loop on the rebuilt scenery work. I will probably work my way back around and add a few things on another pass.

I built the roof to be removable so I have option of adding lighting and interior details. The tower itself is removable from the custom base which will make it easier to do any future modifications.

The signs were made with an online PRR station sign generator which can be found here: http://prr.railfan.net/makesign.html

I modified the size of the sign and adjusted the size of the letters in MS Paint.

I got these Atlas PRR Position Lights installed last night and snagged some quick shots. Man, these are so cool. I've got a few more on the way.

I have the block occupation status routed through the aux. contacts on my switch machines so I guess these are semi-interlocked, although they are mostly for show. I'm not sure the wiring is fully correct, but the signal indication is triggered by a combination of the switch routing and block occupation status. It was a fun little project..

Lee, I provided the track plan for the junction to Terry and he put together a Signal Plan for it. I didn't do the whole layout, just this section which is right at the front of the layout. He provided a diagram for the signal placement, a wiring diagram and a drill pattern to lay out the panel. I bought all the hardware and cabling from him and even bought the crimpers to make my own extension cables, etc.
