Do you have any idea what this could possibly be off of? I've Googled the model number and all the other relevant information, and nothing comes up.

Judging from the plate details, it may be from a GE trolley mine locomotive. A battery unit might be in the 50 - 100v range, so 250V suggests an overhead line. Here's a GE LME 500v unit from the 1930s; the plate is similar to yours, just older.
Based on searches, I have to wonder if this isn’t a mining locomotive. Especially given the low voltage. This article about European GE mining locos seems to have a lot of models using the LME prefix.
Well, two of us found info on mining locos. I think that indicates that’s what this likely is.
Sounds like it.
Thanks!
It came from a GE mining locomotive. The "LME" in GE parlance is "Locomotive-Mine-Electric". The builders plate also shows the manufacture date and the voltage. Most of them also show the model of the traction motors. For example, "HM-829" or some such. These were later "renamed" by GE as "GHM" traction motors, which were a box frame motor applied mostly to underground mine locomotives and some equipment handling railed vehicles. The most common of the latter day box frame traction motors were the GHM-842, 843, and 850 models. None of them required ventilation for their rating, another advantage in underground mine applications.
Thank you for the further detail!
I think there were also "LMB" for Locomotive-Mine-Battery" and "LMC" for Cable Reel, but we did not receive orders for either of those when I worked in Mining and Industrial at GE transportation.....
