Many feel that Red 'N Tacky is excellent. I bought some, have yet to use it, but it seems to have a solid following.

Save the research time - go with the Red-N-Tacky $5 tube will outlast you & your grandkids lifetimes.
Not to hijack this post, but what is the recommended lubrication for fiber gears? These were used on many prewar locos. Most were, I believe, either paper or cloth reenforced phenolic risen.
As for the original question, I use Red N Tacky. But there is a lot of good input on this subject on this board. The search function will provide lots of information.
I have used white lithium grease with good results.
also, get yourself one of these food injectors, cut the pointed tip off, fill
with your choice of grease, viola instant O gauge grease gun
Check the archives. The discussion is a lot more informed than just one option. I have used Labelle no. 106 grease for more than 30 years without any problems. You’ll find many in the archives who concur.
