I was watching my copy of the film that was made in the 1960's for the 1962 restoration and centennial run by the L&N for the General.

I was wondering if any material was made available to the public at that time: brochures, books, promotional material?

It looks like it would be interesting to find some items for me to collect as that's always been my favorite type of locomotive.

The General isn't a "type" of locomotive. It's an American Standard, which is a type of locomotive.

So, I guess you're saying the General is your favorite 4-4-0 American type?

Steve,

My apologies.  I should have clarified.  I mean that the 4-4-0 American Standard is my favorite type of locomotive.  I know that the General isn't a type; I just worded it wrong!
