I notice the lower section of the radiator grills under the "wings" has changed.
2015 is fast approaching..............I wonder when the General Electric Tier 4 ES44AC's go into production?

Or how about wondering if MTH will have this demo unit in the 2015 v1 catalog? Or Lionel in the 2015 Signature catalog. Very nice looking engines, and good pictures too.
Hope MTH comes out with one. Would look n.ice with the other Hybrid.
The testbeds were on the UP as of this previous June. Not my video, but very nicely done.
Interesting "hump back" design. Are these using a hybrid drive system?
The secret revealed....hundreds of hamsters running on a treadmill ! Needless to say, I'll pass on this latest politi-chooch !

Dromedary design. Holds more water.

Will we see these loco's in "hump day" ads?

Hope MTH comes out with one.
I'm sure they will, and with a big smoke unit.
Most of the time I run my diesel engines with the smoke off, Steam on all the time.
I'm bucking the trend. I don't like the sight lines. The wings in back are angled more and then you have that "hump" before the wings. Just looks like the design is all over the place. Do like the demo paint though.
Good Day,
Any news on which railroad will be the first to receive the new General Electric Tier 4 ES44AC’s?

Couldn't Ge come up with a better [flashier] demo scheme than a "dip Job"?
Really... if Ge just used a darker Blue with some gold... Us Railfans[foamers] could have called it the "humpback of Notre Dame!

Personally I would not be surprised if Mike W. used his existing tooling and just paints and number it. Just like he used existing tooling to produce the NS-Heritage ES44's.
Added thought, he probably will invest to tool for the HO versions just like he did with the NS-Heritage units.

That hump makes it look like the EMD repowered Baldwin road switchers: Buffalos!
C39 fans will not take to kindly to these units being called humpbacks
Good Day,
I like the new Tier 4 engines.................I'm anxious to see the new ES44AC's running the rails on the Class I Railroads!

Good Day Tammy,
I did not create the pictures or the story behind the new GE ES44AC Tier 4 diesel locomotive. I would suggest you check this web page which was the source of the pictures.

I am curious. Who is the California Freight Mobility Plan for? city or state government?

Check out the GE Transportation web pages too!
