They suspect the bacteria from a hospital. Mom has been in emergency rooms and hospitals a lot lately and I tend to wear flip flops. They think one of those drug resistant bacteria's got in during one of those visits. The Dr jokingly called the antibiotic Gorilla Juice, but it did not work and they had to go to a cocktail of a couple of types in a IV. I am supposed to keep my feet up most of the time for a while longer, but it is nice to actually be able to walk without hobbling.

it's scary how many people get sick from the hospital. My wife has had several health issues over the years, and for a while if we weren't in a hospital, it was a doctors office. I picked up a bug a few years ago, thought it was the flu. I always lose my appetite, and when I got it back this time, I started to feel worse, until I threw up, then I'd feel better. I missed several days of work, and when I finally did go back, I was there less than an hour, and I took myself to the ER,totally unlike me. The doc told me it was some kind of virus, and it had the same effect as having surgery, and the bowels go to sleep for a few days. They had no idea how I got it.

glad you're on the mend!
