They are separate right now. However in the future I may connect them?

The lower loop is  a basic up and over dog bone with sidings and yards to support. It has a Wye on each end of the loops as well. It measures about 900 square ft.

The upper deck has a Passenger staging "Low line" loop, with an elevated dual track upper "High Line". It travels the outer perimeter of the room. it measures about 1050 square ft...

At the last get-together We were able to have 6 operators running trains.  And about 22 people comfortably in the train room...
