I would really like to build some crossovers, now i will have a length of 32' and that is 1/2 of a circle that i could build. (TOTAL LENGTH OF CIRCLE IS 32'"  I believe i have enough room to put in a crossover bridge "say for the sake of argument "  vehicle cross over bridge,  another rail line.

the photo is the 'left side of the layout project, the right side is a 8' in length but width is 4' and the left side is a tad bid wider 50".  basic layout is "U" shaped bit lopside where right side some shorter than left,  but quite a bit of room.

I also have the option of "cutting" a piece out of board and putting in a "river, creek, stream, piece of road"  by cutting the layout board on side it could give some more options

as a bonus i have a tremendous amount of storage, bride has already bought storage containers to put it inside and underneath rail road

some people have questioned the use of 1X2' for much of the framing,  I built this (rather am building this) to be able to stand on it if i have to,  now i weigh 206, and am 6'3"  so not a light weight, and i have bounced up and down on the joints and not a problem, all dado joints, all screwed and glued using "gorilla" glue (wear gloves or be prepared to have it take days to wear off)

this thing is strong

not to figure out the ratio for elevation changes  seen that here on the fourm and i ahave asked also, but now an ready to put into use

sure glad i put insulation and air conditioning in this thing, been low to mid 90's all week long, but quite comfortable in the room
