Well, its a great shot regardless.  As to the trains, not the ghost town, I understand.  On the other hand, have you thought about an article on mining trains - at least your mining trains.  They are a "sub-speciality" that you seem to have down pat, and an article about  not just the type of loco and all but the cars that are appropriate, the weathering, tracks (let's face it, the catenary for that line is, uhh, rather basic construction - one pole not an H over the track, etc.  Probably very realistic, too.  I imagine while they were all quite basic economical systems, the rails, etc., had to be heavy duty (heavy ore, etc.). There is a lot there to model and get right (or wrong).   Actually - the more more I think of it the more I would love an article on mining trains.

Lee, a article on the mining line is coming. Yes, the overhead is very simple and like Forrest said, much the same as the Milwaukee Road. Cedar poles and simple wiring. My thought on the short line is most if not all equipment is second hand. One of the electric locos is from somewhere in Central or South America. When the road bought it, all the controls were in Spanish. I don't want to give much more than that away on the story, but I think you will enjoy it. Don
