I'm thankful that Stacey is one of my followers on the forum because that list was becoming a sausage fest.

In all seriousness though I have met some of the nicest people and become great friends with people in this hobby.

And of course a GREAT wife that gave me the majority of the basement to start the new layout this year.

For all that's been going on in recent days/weeks in this country, this clip from a local newspaper seems appropriate for putting things into perspective...

Perhaps not original....maybe not even statistically current..., but always appropriate....IMHO, of course.

BTW, not sure what this thread specifically has to do with Trains, but I certainly am thankful to have this for my hobby!  Always good to remember our blessings.

I have a bunch. I'm thankful that-

• Though my parents aren't in the best of health, they're doing better than many 80-year-olds.
• My wife still tolerates and loves me. There are times, I'm sure, that it'd be difficult for any woman to do either for a guy like me.
• My aging wiener dog, Charlie, is still with us.
• My long-dreamed-of layout is really taking the shape I always envisioned. I'd wanted this since I was a teen.

I'm thankful for my family and I having good health, my job, my friends, my club, this forum and at lest a sandwich and a cup of soup to eat everyday.  Anything greater then that is "more then I deserve", to quote the great Dave Ramsey's.

Thank you everyone for whom responded!! Yes this is a train related topic since i was selling Thanksgiving boxcars as well in the thread!! Plus, We are all human.. and we are thankful for for something in our lives!! So happy to see everyones comments, and cant wait for more!!!

I am thankful that I made it to another Thanksgiving. I did loose my wife of thirteen years on Mothers Day of this year. I miss her.
