Jig saw with a metal blade and a steady hand Will do the job.
I have not done it with these selves......But I've cut lots of metal in a miter box and fine blade in a hack saw. I cut aluminum, brass and steel rod thicker than the selves for my lathe.

It will cut easily, just make sure you use a sharp blade. It will make it easier to cut a straight line. Dull blades tend to wander. Use a square and mark or scribe the line first.

May be turn the shelf upside down on a piece of sheeting board, to hold it, and cut from the bottom with a 32 tooth per inch hacksaw.

As Mark suggests, it worked for me. Power mitre with a new combo blade. Great shelving. I have over 100 linear feet of the shelving and will be getting more. It's a terrific product. Good luck.
I b ought a $140 miter saw blade for cutting non-ferrous metals and I mitered all my corners. I like my Glenn Snyder shelving, the only problem is I dont have enough of it
I actually used a blade more like a regular saw blade. Those cutoff wheels are flexible and had a tendency to give unstraight cuts
The one I used was very stiff and gave a clean cut.
however there are lots of good ways to get the job done.
Actually the cuts were straight but they weren't square, 90's were more like 88 degrees and 45's were like 47 degrees
I went to a local metalworking shop and had them do it on an industrial saw. The cuts were dead square and a little bit rough. I cleaned them up with a file and the result was perfect. I can't remember what it cost me but it wasn't outrageous and it was well worth it.
I have quite a bit of the Glen Snyder shelving and have enjoyed seeing my train collection upon it.
Now however, I'm in the process of selling my collection and have more and more empty shelving. If anyone is looking for a deal on what I continue to empty, drop me an email.
Man, I just used a hand hack saw.
If you remember, have Glenn Snyder, cut them when you place your order.
Some of my Glenn Snyder, cut at the factory.
8 feet long, 6 footer and a 2 footer, with end caps.

Thank you for all the good suggestions. I ended up using a 10" Lenox metal cutting miter saw blade which made the cuts clean and easy. So far I have put up 5 shelves. Again...thank you guys.
