I am building 2 of the Gulf Mobile & Ohio x-M&O Cabooses for myself. Many years ago when I was a HO modeler I modeled the GM&O and other than the modern International cars there were no cabooses even close the the Southern region cabs. I decided to build them myself and ended up building 160+ of them in HO. When I switched to O scale same thing no GM&O cabs so I started building them in O scale. These 2 are for my layout and I have built these from photos of the prototype I have in my collection.
I am especially proud of the stainless roofwalk I found. It is a Overland and it is a beauty. They will have operating markers when done. I have On more cut out but it will be built separately since it will have a full interior. The fabricated steps that these cabooses used are particularly aggravating to build. There are 28 individual pieces of styrene in each step.
