Just visited Harry Hieke who most of us know for his Unique and very detailed structures displayed for sale in his York booth in the Orange hall. He also serves many of us in the hobby with Weathering and detailing of enigines, rolling stock and accessories. Here is his latest Detailing just completed for a client of a Golden Gate Coaling tower. Granted this is a fine out of the box structure, and here you can see Harry's detailing. Here are some pictures of the tower just before it was picked up.

A lot has been added to the GGD coaling tower. Even the concrete footings are Harry's, an add. Another project that has been addressed, was that the step/stairways were way out of scale. It appears the stairs, second, and top level, have been changed from the original model. A very nice support tower added to the stair system.
The dump station structure is a wonderful addition.
Absolutely beautiful work! Another great coaling tower is the one built by Dave Duhamel of Crescent Locomotive works. Not to take anything away from this magnificent model; I chose that version as it is double wide and constructed of 100% wooden pieces.
Harry is a real craftsman. He made a wonderful graduated trestle for me years ago---a real work of art.

Beginning of my Service yard with Harry's early coaling tower work as well as his built Sand Tower, treatment of MTH's water tank and the White Oak Plant Smokestack.. He is really very good.
Denim Plant, cotton warehouses and power plant in the long reach corner on the 096 curve. Corner buildings and those along the wall by Model Structures for Model Railroads as is the diesel fuel tank with Southern logo.

Glad you are back in action.

Harry does fine work and hopefully he will come back as a sponsor of this forum...perhaps you all can encourage him to do so!!
Track centers, outside/Chute side to under the tower 5 1/4". I don't have the add on dump station. Appears track center is a good bit more than 5 1/4" From Dewey's picture, ?? 6" to 6 1/2" ??
From general outside chute area center rail to under Tower center rail 5-3/8", then to Dump House center rail 7". I would have guessed less than 7"--had to go measure it. Reached that age where memory just tags along at times.
