We did our Saturday morning thing at Charlie Ro's yesterday with Marty,Dotty, Carl and Wally shooting the breeze and finding something we can't live without and when we walked in sitting on the bargen table Lind'a say's "look at that"  Well "That" was an original Hellgate bridge that had been repainted" with nothing missing! Needles to say I had a death grip on it until I put it in the car! It will need to be bead blasted and repainted after I get my current project complete but a good day all around.

Nice find, Chris.

 

I've never seen the wider remake right next to an original, but from your photos, the narrower original seems to have a taller, more elegant appearance, even though I'm sure it's the same height. I like the fact that my remake will take two O gauge tracks, but I also like the look of the original - very nice.
