As I write this the contractors are nearly finished with my new man cave, a 12 x 28 addition that is ALL mine (I love my new wife). 8 x 12 is hobby workshop area (I build models, too) and a 20 x 12 train room. Additionally as we move stuff and get it organized I will also have use of the garage converted to an enclosed room, that is a bit smaller overall and some of which I have to share but a place to store unused stuff. Finally, a space for my trains where I don't have to put them away after  while. Probably be about 2 more weeks.

I was not going to buy anything until the room was ready and I had a temporary layout organized but after looking at some older threads on MPC and Pullmor motors I was perusing the auction site and found a 6-8952 Brunswick green PRR F3AA set with the dual motored engine and the guy had the 6-8164 B unit. They belonged to a "collector" but the pictures of the trucks showed no lines on the rollers and no wear on the wheels. It is on it's way to me as we speak. They are in the original MPC boxes with all he paperwork.

So I think I may have scored very well on this. It will definitely need to be lubed after all this time. I can't wait to have it run.

Congratulations Frank.  We look forward to seeing pictures of your layout.  Sounds like you have a very nice sized space to build  a great layout.  My wife graciously offered to have our basement converted into a man cave about 10 years ago so I had a nice comfortable place for my trains.  Fully dry-walled and carpeted, I am thankfully everytime I go down there to enjoy the hobby.  My wife is also the first to invite guests down to see the layout.

Lets see some pics!
