Been a little while since I posted a few pictures.  Here are some I just took as the sun began to rise on the east side...its gonna be another hot day!!  (For super sized pictures, right click on photo, then click on "open link in new window".) Oh yes, sorry for the cardboard under the buildings on the next to last picture....this area is still a work in progress..

Thanks for looking

Alan

Jeff...Alex...

Thanks so much!

Alex...yes, the highway bridge is new.  I recently did a test fit and now have to paint it.  This bridge is made up of three Lionel extension bridges.  It spans a total of 78" starting from the east wall, over the inter modal yard, and then over the isle joining the southeast corner of the main city area.  The isle that it spans is the one that I have been talking to you about that I want to build a drop down / lift up water feature that looks like a river or harbor area.  There is a smaller bridge crossing at the lower city level a few feet south of this location.  Both bridges are removable so that one does not have to duck under them.  They can be put in place for photo sessions and the water feature can be lifted up when one doesn't need to use the isle area.
