currently sitting on the New Mexico Rio Metro “Rail Runner” Train riding northbound to Santa Fe. Flew out Sunday to perform some upgrades to the layout we built in my NC shop and delivered in January of this year (Traindame posted pics a while back).

So, Dorcie just loves to shoot video footage of us doing “our thing” so I I decided to let her shoot “my” favorite part of this build. A 42” long custom built (yes, somewhat fictional, albeit functional for the application) bridge to allow access into the layout from the hallway. What I like most is how we wired it to prevent trains from falling to their demise. Simple enough, I know, but its my favorite part. So, have a look at the video and enjoy! Meanwhile, I’ll be staring at my reflection in the window of this lighted Bombardier car at night in the high desert mesa enroute to Santa Fe!

(This is in reference to my post as to why ghe 21” vista domes didn’t come with lights in the dome!) LOL

Before I forget (or lose service) want to send a special thank you out to Roger and the team at TW in Dallas for the design files and laser cutting. As well as my friends Rich, Roy and Byrd for their help in pulling it all together! (The best part is it fit into the space 1900 miles away from where it was built!)
