Hey all, I wanted to show you a project I did for a friend of mine. I was given a Weaver 2-8-0 and Atlas 0-6-0 tender and was asked to make it a close model of Grand Canyon Railway no. 18, so here's the outcome! This locomotive is now blunami control with all new LEDs, custom decals, and some cosmetic changes. The locomotive itself received new class lights, whistle, smokebox mounted bell, headlight visor and partial repainting. The tender is pretty much stock, sans the new graphics.

Great modeling!! JohnA
Outstanding work, Blake!
Very nice, excellent work.
Thanks so much for taking on this endeavor, Blake.
This is a locomotive I've always had fascination with, being the I Love Toy Trains pilled kid, but seeing a pretty close example in O gauge is so fulfilling. Seeing your customization of this piece from start to finish is astounding. The locomotive is like night and day compared to how it started out.
Very nice!

Very nice work
I thank everyone for the compliments! the goal was to customize the locomotive as close as possible to the prototype. I forgot to show this, in the cab a scratchbuilt from styrene a oil burning type firebox door (I'm not sure what the real term is) but this will be for a flickering firebox that will be added later on. A hole was drilled for the flickering LEDs, but I didn't want to leave it as a gaping hole, so I felt this was the best thing to do, while being true to the prototype.
