It's a Terminal, not a station
I think the Post article called it a Terminal.
Nicole - thank you for the great photograph. I had often heard that Grand Central Station was a post office but did not realize there was such clear graphic evidence of the fact.
True, it is a terminus hence the name "Grand Central Terminal." However, as is mentioned in the article, millions of people still refer to it as "Grand Central Station." So, I think it would be wise to leave the semantics arguments out of the discussion.
Thanks for the info, being a New Yorker I knew of the 100th birthday, and it's nice
that the Lionel display will stay up till February they did a great job on the display
this year will go back a few more times to see it, Happy Birthday GCT!

My station is a Marx Grand Central Station, so it will always be a station to me.
It is nice it made it to 100 years, it almost didn't, thanks to stupidity and greed, if the real estate interests would have had their way, it would have ended up like Penn Station, an underground warren with all the charm of an unclean pay toilet IMO. Thankfully, thanks to the work of Jackie Kennedy Onasis and others, it is there for us to enjoy. The inside of the station is interesting, though like with a lot of Manhattan, it is definitely for the upscale shopper, looks a lot different then when I commuter through there for about 6 years.
