Hmmmmm, can you borrow from a 403(b) ?

 LOL LOL

My wife and I are already making a crazy (for us) purchase of the new PE Berk and a few cars. So, its a couple of valiums before I look over today's offerings. Lol.

Rick,

That's hilarious.  I had trouble visualizing credit card steam until now!

Eliot,

I know how you feel.  I'm thinking of ways to raise funds as well.  I guess I'll be selling some non-steam effect engines or my car.  Hmmm.   I start with the engines and see how that goes first.

A very reliable source !!!

Deep within Lionel !!!!

The Cab Forward will have the same, very high, level of detail as the previous issue.

Brokers say . . . .  BUY, BUY !!

Eliot when you get a chance could you ask your source if one of the Cab Forwards will have the early small lettering on the tender?

Pete

Hey Scrapiron Scher,  Possibly you don't need those 48 PRR GGD cars after those prices from Lionel . I'm only after the twin unit diner, obsv, and a few sleepers. C'mon  do you know how hard it is to find PRR in Nebraska. Everybody here is into freight, and my only love is scale passenger PRR being my favorite. So save some money for future purchases. cause THESE ARE NOT THE DROIDS\CARS YOUR LOOKING FOR MOVE ALONG NOW ,  PLEASE

Wow can't believe all the working steam whistles on so many engines.  Grand slam is right on, this catalog is the best Lionel has put together in many years.  Have to think Mike R. had a big influence in this publication.  Cab Forwards, M-1a's, berks, in addition to the new Big Boys plus new rolling stock and their LCS system.   What to do, what to do, guess the layout bench work and track will have to be put on hold again.

Oh boy, I must be getting old!!!!

Well, you can borrow from a 403(b) but most likely if you are over 55 and no longer work for the non-profit you can just take withdrawals without penalty. That applies to 401K's as well if you are over 55 and no longer work for the company. You just pay the taxes, Federal and (state if applicable) on the withdrawal.

However, if you rolled them over to a traditional IRA or Roth you need to wait until you reach 59 1/2 to make withdrawals without penalty.

One of the best catalogs in a long time...

Patrick H,

You NAILED it, what a year for western RR fans!

I've already pre-ordered a VL Big Boy.  The VL Reefers were on my wish list from Lionel, imagine how excited I was when I saw them in the catalog!  Holy smoke!

I plan on at least 2 sets of VL PFE reefers and a set of standard PFE reefers.  With those and the other 55 I already own, my VL BB will have plenty of cars to pull around.

Great catalog.  I was very thankful there were limited items I was truly interested in, I've bought too much this last year!  Now I can focus on building the layout!
