I just bought my grandson his first train.  He turns 1 in Sept and that is when he will get it.  It is good size, has good play value since you can remove barrels and logs and there are no stains used on the wood. I love the pure prototypical 2-2-2 wheel arrangement and smoking caboose; and no electronics to go bad!
