Grass Paper Mat Suggestions

Would like any suggestions for good quality Paper or vinyl backed Grass Mats. I have an old roll of used No. 1156 50" x 90" Paper Grass from Life-Like Trains in Canada?   I used this over 15 years ago, and rolled it back up but don't know how well it held up or if there are any tears, or if it is faded.  I like the color, but worried a product similar to this tends to "shed"??

Also, any tips on how to apply? Staples? Applying adhesive with a roller? I plan to lay some hemasote over my 5 x 8 board.

Any and all suggestions are welcome and appreciated!

OK- First I'll have to unroll the old paper backed roll I have and see what it looks like, or if it will "flatten itself" after a couple of days. But, the vinyl backed Woodland product seems mighty tempting.  I have seen some pretty favorable reviews on it.  I'll have to see if maybe they can send some small samples so I can narrow down the color?  Thanks for the suggestions, guys!

What is the largest piece of grass you plan to use on your layout?  Please keep in mind that colors look different on a layout than on your work bench.  Different light, different shadows.  John
